Clinical Psychologist
Dr Rebecca Szlachcic (DClinPsy, MSc, BSc) is a Clinical Psychologist with over 13 years experience working with adults with a range of difficulties, from those who have experienced traumatic life events, experiencing low mood and anxiety, to those in acute distress or having unusual experiences (psychosis). She has worked both in a community setting and within adult inpatient services, within the NHS and private organisations, providing both one to one and group based psychological therapy. This has involved over 7 years working in forensic mental health services.

Dr Szlachcic is an experienced DBT therapist, skilled in working with individuals who have difficulties with emotion regulation and may use unhelpful behaviours to cope (e.g. self harm, violence, suicide, drugs and alcohol, etc).

She is also experienced in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), and draws upon schema therapy and psychodynamic theories in her work.

She has experience in neuropsychological testing and forensic risk assessments.

She has undertaking specialist training in Expert Witness report writing and courtroom skills.
